Meadowlands

Da da duhna na da da duhna na. Head bobbing up and down as it does everytime I hear the starting chords. I wish I could tell you what those chords were, it's power pop so it's probably E, C or D, maybe some silly tuning, but the distortion, layered over everything, not just the guitars, but the whole thing - I hated it the first times I heard it, I couldn't understand anything about and then it hit me. It knocked me over. That solid thunking, that melodic riff, the passion, the glory, something about it hit me and hits me, and I keep falling for it and into and it's beautiful. It stays in my car CD player for weeks on end on an endless loop only interupted by silence.

When I stood there and saw them play live it was amazing, the first time I saw live guitar harmonics work, it was flawless. The enrgy was perfect. I left glowing. I was there, I was sucked into it, I was so much moe than present, so present that maybe I wasn't even there.
